Flatwillow Homemakers held their November meeting at Luann’s home. We celebrated Thanksgiving with wonderful turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy that Luann prepared. Everyone brought vegetables, salads, and dessert that complimented our delicious Thanksgiving meal. Sandy Gonzalez, Linda Gershmel, Luann Knutson, Raye Anne Lund, Mary Meserve, Bonnie Moore, Ginger Moore, Kim Tarplee, Babs Tetrault and Ella Iverson were there.

Roll call answered the comment of “a favorite family tradition,” or “our favorite comfort food.” We all enjoyed hearing about each other’s traditions and favorite comfort foods. Luann read the thought for the day called “The Good Napkins.” A good story with a funny ending.

New Business - Discussion was had on what we would like to do for our Christmas project this year. It was decided to give the Winnett Lions Club $200 for their activity fund to be used as needed. They do a lot for our community all year and especially at Christmas time are busy helping Santa. Linda made the motion, Babs seconded to give $200 to the Winnett Lions. Motion carried.

We also discussed the idea of having a field trip in December instead of May. Everyone had ideas of what we would like to do in December and the unanimous idea decided touring the Moss Mansion in Billings. It is decorated for Christmas and each room has a specially decorated Christmas tree. We tentatively scheduled a time to see the Moss Mansion for December 4. The Mansion opens at noon so we thought it would be fun to go early and have lunch. Kim will check on times to tour Moss Mansion and will check out places to eat close to the Mansion. She will call and let us know. We can still have our red/white/blue themed gift exchange in May, we’ll do it here instead of going out in May.
