George Barrett is no stranger to health struggles. He has been battling with continuous conditions since 1996 including cancer and strokes. Unexpectedly, he started having fainting spells five to six times a week. He worked with Brynn Bixby, PA-C at the Roundup Memorial Clinic to see if she had any thoughts. Brynn used her resources to refer George to the specialists. Trying whoever could get to the bottom of it. After no findings, Brynn took matters into her own hands. She decided to perform an ultrasound of his carotid artery in his neck. Little did George know, this simple procedure would save his life. They found that his artery was 98% blocked from receiving radiation from cancer treatment. The Physician noted without Brynn’s efforts, George wouldn’t be here today.
George is thankful for his Roundup team. Not only do they provide inclusive care, but they also continuously have gone above and beyond to find a solution for him. Kama Arnold, R.N. B.S.N., and Tiffani Eickhoff, RDMS have also been an incredible asset to his care team. George has been so celebratory of the care he has received; he has refused to switch care elsewhere. Citing that this team knows him, and his history, and he wouldn’t be alive today without them. Geroge is happy to be feeling better and all of the dizzy spells have ceased.
Thank you, Roundup Memorial Healthcare, for providing complete care to our community.
