Helen Marie Jasbeck

August 1, 1930 to December 21, 2024

Helen Marie Skagen was born to Hannah and Julius Skagen, proud loving parents, who both came from Norway. She was the eleventh of their twelve children. Helen grew up in Roundup where she attended school and graduated in 1948. After graduation she worked at the Fish and Game department prior to marrying Robert Tucker in November of 1948. Together they had four children prior to his untimely death in July of 1954. She later married Gordon Jasbeck in May of 1956 and they had one child.

The family lived in Roundup until 1969 and then relocated to Billings, MT. Helen had a long career in retail management. After Gordon's death in 1995, she remained in Billings tor 12 years before moving to Laurel, MT to live at St. John's Lutheran Crossings and ultimately returned to Roundup in May of 2022 to reside at the Roundup Memorial Extended Care until her passing on December 21, 2024.

Helen was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Roundup, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Billings, where she faithfully served on the Altar Guild, and then joined Our Savior Lutheran Church after moving to Laurel. She enjoyed the fellowship of all her church families.

Her time at both Crossings and Roundup Memorial Extended Care were blessed with numerous visits from family, friends and acquaintances. Helen enjoyed church, puzzles, phone calls, poetry, stamp collecting and LOTS of reading. When she was young she once told her parents that she was going to read every book in the library.

Helen will be remembered tor the fierce love she had tor her children, her family and God. Nothing was more important to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her 11 siblings, her son, Steven, both husbands, Grandson, Curan Jasbeck, two son-in-laws, Don Sticka and Jim Whitford, as well as granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Sticka. She is survived by her three daughters, Michele Tucker Sticka, Victoria Tucker (Scot) Seitz, Donna Jasbeck Whitford, son Robert Tucker and her sister in-law, Dorthy Jasbeck Adolph.

Also, surviving are seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, December 28th at 1:00 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Roundup, MT.

In leu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Food Bank, or the Roundup Memorial Women's Auxiliary. Our sincere thanks for the compassionate care that Mom received from the staff of the Roundup Memorial Extended Care.
